Dear Partners,

SUSPENSION OF ALL OPERATION HERNIA MISSONS DUE TO THE CORONAVIRUS OUTBREAK

I am writing to inform you that the Board of Directors of Operation Hernia have met to discuss the risks / benefits of Operation Hernia Missions in the light of the worldwide CORONAVIRUS outbreak.

The Board of Directors have decided to suspend all missions until further notice. I am sure the reasons are very obvious

The decision has been taken to protect the following groups:-
1. Operation Hernia Partners and their families
2. Patients that we serve on our missions and their families.

We apologise for any inconvenience this decision will cause our Partners and supporters.
The suspension will be reviewed at the next Board meeting in June, 2020 or earlier.
The Board will be able to advise on the missions in the latter parts of the year ( August to December 2020)
Thank you for your understanding
I will keep you updated.

Sincerely,

Mr F C Oppong FRCS (Gen Surg)
Consultant Surgeon
Chairman, Board of Directors, Operation Hernia
