INTRODUCTION
Operation Hernia (OH) is an independent not-for-profit organisation that provides professional and educational opportunities to surgeons and surgical trainees in the repair of long-standing groin hernias at rural hospitals in the developing world. We are a registered charity (Charity Commission No: 1138936) and also a limited company (Company Registration No: 07414038).
Operation Hernia was started in 2005 from Derriford Hospital in Plymouth, England, via that city’s official cultural link with Takoradi, Ghana.
